Well, to be fair, Jodie Prenger is a regular in Coronation Street now, so if she did fade into obscurity, she has made a comeback (and don't knock Corrie). However, seeing Jessie Buckley in the film 'Men' last night (Film 4), I think she is charismatic (I didn't realise that it was the girl from 'I'll do Anything' but she was 'singing' in a tunnel to make an echo in 'Men' and I thought she had a decent voice for an actor, not knowing she was first a singer).

Its hilarious that her skills and ability now far outshine any of these judges by a factor of 10s. Wild Rose is phenomenal.

I use this in my university courses for American Culture in Music. Jo is the absolute best!

some of the judges comments were nasty and Len knew better than that having to criticize her for the sake of her hard work in this Waltz routine. Craig loved it although this was all 9's making it her best dance of that entire season regardless of Len's brutal insult against her dance. he acted like he had food poisoning after seeing them in training.

This song makes me think of my Christian mother longing for and finding heaven a few years ago. It seems like the perfect metaphor. Jo Stafford was amazing and sang this beautifully. What a treasure. I also love her version of "Flow Gently Sweet Afton" which we sang as children in elementary school in the mid seventies.

It's a wonder if any Irish performer has a career if they spend any time in the UK. This program was skewed to destroy Jessie thankfully Graham and Andrew and occasionally Cameron had a sense of natural justice and stopped Denise and John from their clever attacks on top of the ugly hairdo and ugly green outfits she was forced to wear. Both Hozier and U2 skipped Britain and focussed on making it in the US first. I don't know how Jessie survived this to make it to the US. If she won this dog and pony show it would have stuck her in UK and it might have finished her.
